Your Coach - Dr. Z
Dr. Evan Zegiel is an award-winning composer, performer (tuba/bass/guitar), audio engineer, and content creator.

He is a professional composer, with an extensive catalogue of commercially-available recordings and original compositions.
Dr. Z is best known for his innovative heavy metal music for classical soloists, including his Heavy Metal Concerto (2020) and full-length album The Human Element (2024) for tuba. Both releases feature him performing on all but the drums.

Zegiel has performed with artists as far-flung as the Baltimore and Detroit Symphony Orchestras (tuba) to the touring rock band of the Pretty Woman: The Musical (bass), spanning four countries (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Japan).

His boundary-stretching music has received accolades from international organizations (International Tuba-Euphonium Association), conferences (International Trumpet Guild Conference), regional competitions (Warren County, PA Promising Young Composers), and online contests (Mirari Brass Quintet, RiffHard - King of the Riff).

He is also the creator of the EDM studio project Turbo Sauce, experimental instrumental hip-hop project [echo.circuit], and SESSIONS: the podcast. He's contributed as a writer, vocalist, and guitarist to recordings by Lake Mosaic and House of Hummingbirds, and has released multiple classical tuba solo recordings on YouTube and Bandcamp.

Dr. Z's mentors include Dr. David Biedenbender (Michigan State University), Fritz Kaenzig (University of Michigan), Phil Sinder (Michigan State University), Nelson T. Gast (U. S. Coast Guard Band), and Matt Brockman (founder of Trumpet Mastery and winner of a Two-Comma Club Award from ClickFunnels).
